Brussels Nationwide Opera Names New Concertmaster

Following a number of rounds of auditions, the Brussels Nationwide Opera appointed the 28-year-old Belgian violinist Sylvia Huang as its subsequent concertmaster.

Huang beforehand served within the first violin part of Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, since 2014. Previous to that appointment, she was within the second violin part of the Nationwide Orchestra of Belgium.

In February 2021, she additionally made her debut as a soloist with the Concertgebouw, performing Mozart’s Concerto No. 4 in D main beneath Andrew Manze.
