The Chicago Symphony Orchestra Affiliation’s (CSOA) Worldwide Sir George Solti Conducting Apprenticeship was established by CSO music director Riccardo Muti in 2009. Named after previous CSO music director, Sir George Solti, the apprenticeship helps develop the careers of rising conductors.

Conductor Lina González-Granados started her apprenticeship in 2020 — which was paused for the primary few months as a result of pandemic and resumed within the fall of 2021.
