Curtis Institute of Music Appoints Two New Violin School Members


 

Benjamin Beilman and Erin Keefe will be part of the spectacular roster of violin pedagogies at Curtis, together with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Pamela Frank, Midori, Arnold Steinhardt, and Ida Kavafian — the latter of whom they each studied with.

Keefe and Beilman will work with Curtis college students in particular person classes in addition to chamber and orchestral settings.

Because the concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra, Erin Keefe has been a frequent artist with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Heart since 2005. She gained the Avery Fisher Profession Grant and the Professional Musicis Worldwide Award, and has appeared as a soloist in current seasons with the Minnesota Orchestra, New Mexico Symphony, New York Metropolis Ballet Orchestra, Korean Symphony Orchestra, amongst others.

A recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Belief Fellowship, an Avery Fisher Profession Grant, and a London Music Masters Award, Benjamin Beilman has carried out as a soloist for orchestras such because the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Rotterdam and London Philharmonics.
