Denmark’s Léonie Sonning Music Prize Declares 2022 Winner

Essentially the most distinguished worldwide music prize in Denmark, the Léonie Sonning’s Music Prize, has been awarded since 1959 to an internationally famend composer, musician, conductor, or singer inside classical music. Its first recipient was composer Igor Stravinsky.

“And along with his visionary packages the place composers from completely different eras are introduced collectively, he has impressed the creation of recent music, new interpretations of the classics and conveyed the qualities of lesser-known music.”
