New York’s Kaufman Music Heart lately introduced their season for the approaching 2022/23 season. Aaron Diehl, Voces8, and the Harlem Quartet shall be featured as this season’s Artists-in-Residence, and can carry out a variety of revolutionary and considerate packages.
The Grammy-winning New York-based Harlem Quartet has a mission to advance range in classical music. Jazz composer and pianist Aaron Diehl has launched three critically-acclaimed albums and has served as American Pianist Affiliation’s 2011 Cole Porter fellow. A graduate of Juilliard Faculty, Diehl was a finalist in Jazz at Lincoln Heart’s 2002 Primarily Ellington competitors. Along with a European tour with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, he has carried out at venues from Jazz at Lincoln Heart and The Village Vanguard to the New York Philharmonic and the Philharmonie de Paris.
This season, Diehl will carry out music by J.S. Bach and Rolland Hanna on Kaufman’s Piano Dialogues collection at Merkin Corridor and staff up with Curtis Stewart, Harlem Quartet and Mazz Swift for Ecstatic Music. He can even coach Kaufman Music Heart jazz musicians and chamber ensembles, give masterclasses with college students centered on careers in music and the efficiency follow of Black composers, and provides a public masterclass on April 25.
British vocal ensemble VOCES8 performs an in depth repertoire each in its a cappella live shows and in collaborations with main orchestras, conductors, and soloists.
