OUT NOW | Ssens Trio Releases Latest Album, “Ricercare”

Lawo Classics has introduced Ssens Trio‘s latest album, Ricercare, marking the ensemble’s third CD launch on the label.

Ssens Trio spotlights 4 works for string trio that they imagine should be built-in into the worldwide string trio repertoire. These embody Johan Kvandal’s String Trio, Op. 12, Finn Mortensen’s Trio, Op. 3, Edvard Fliflet Braein’s Trio, Op 15, and Ricercare for String Trio by Bertil Palmar Johanses after which the album is called. “Ricercare” — which suggests to go looking or search out — is explored within the music, the place a number of themes are developed by melodic imitation.

Made potential with help from Arts Council Norway, The Audio and Visible Fund, and the Norwegian Society of Composers, the album is out there to buy and hearken to right here.
