Launched on the BIS Classics label, VC Younger Artist Johan Dalene‘s newest album was recorded with conductor John Strotgårds and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.

Each Nordic composers featured on the album, Nielsen and Sibelius, have been born in 1865. “One would assume that their violin concertos are paying homage to one another, however although they have been composed solely 6 years aside, they’ve utterly completely different tonal languages and construction,” Johan explains.
