Prizes awarded on the 2022 Prizes Awarded at J.M. Sperger Worldwide Bass Competitors

This 12 months’s version of the Worldwide J.M. Sperger Competitors for Double Bass befell on the Rostock College of Music and Drama in Rostock, Germany from March 27 to April 3, 2022.

Double bassists of all nationalities have been eligible to enter, so long as they have been born after January 1, 1987.

The prizes are as follows:

1st Prize:  David Santos Luque (Spain)

2nd Prize: José Trigo (Portugal)

third Prize: Moritz Tunn (Germany)

4th Prize: Igor Šajatovič (Croatia)

The viewers prize was given to José Trigo, whereas the prize for the very best interpretation of the up to date obligatory piece was awarded to David Santos Luque.

David Santos Luque obtained a money prize of € 8,500, donated by the Oscar and Vera Ritter Basis Hamburg,

The jury included Michinori Bunya, Enrico Fagone, Piotr Szumieł, Chi-Chi Nwanoku, David Sinclair, and Gunars Upatnieks.

Earlier prize winners embrace Andreas Ehelebe, Marek Romanowski, and Marvin Wagner.

2020’s competitors was held just about as a “Quarantine Problem” and a number of prize classes.
