Senior Class Finalists and Semi-Finalists Introduced at Netherlands Violin Competitors


 

Held each two years, the Netherlands Violin Competitors, in Utrecht, Netherlands, goals to develop younger violin abilities beneath the age of 26.

The Finalists within the 14-17-year-old age Davina van Wely class are:

  • Zohra Jongerius (16)
  • Joshua Tavenier (16)
  • Luca van der Waals (15)

 

 

 

 

 

The Semi-Finalists within the 18-26-year-old Oskar Again age class are:

  • Emma Roijackers (26)
  • Lena ter Schegget (25)
  • Iris van Nuland (19)
  • Enzo Kok (19)
  • Salomé Bonnema (20)
  • Isabelle Kruithof(20)
  • Isobel Warmelink (25)
  • Hae Jin Park (25)

 

 

 

Held by the Stichting Nederlandse Vioolconcoursen, the Oskar Again class prize winner will obtain €12,000 — plus a variety of necessary efficiency alternatives.

Within the Oscar Again class, the particular prize for the perfect efficiency of the competitors’s newly commissioned work, “Out of the blue Wobbly” by Martijn Padding, was awarded to Emma Roijackers. 

Within the Davina van Wely class, the particular prize for the perfect efficiency of the competitors’s newly commissioned work, “Riffs” by Joey Roukens, was awarded to Joshua Tavenier.

Earlier winners embody: Janine Jansen, Liza Ferschtman, Jaap van Zweden, Emmy Verhey, Simone Lamsma, Rosanne Philippens, and Niek Baar.

The 14-17-year-old age class jury includes: Elisabeth Perry (Chair), Maaike Aarts, Cindy Albracht, Sonja van Beek, Bas Treub, and Alessandra Sordo-Sanchez.

The 18-26-year-old age class jury includes Susanne van Els (Chair), Man Braunstein, Isabelle of Cologne, Maria Milstein, Daniel Rowland, Ed Spaniard, Tjeerd High Tjeerd High, and Patty Hamel.

The Semi-Closing Spherical of the Oskar Again Prize will happen on Saturday, January 22.
