In 2018, Taiwanese-American violinist Richard Lin received the tenth Quadrennial Worldwide Violin Competitors of Indianapolis on the age of 27. Because the competitors’s most up-to-date Gold Medalist, he’ll carry out his recital debut on the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Corridor on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m.

Initially scheduled for the summer season of 2020, the occasion was twice delayed as a result of pandemic. Lin and IVCI Competitors pianist Thomas Hoppe will carry out Vitali’s Chaconne, the violin sonatas of Richard Strauss and John Corigliano, and Frolov’s Live performance Fantasy on Themes from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess — which will likely be recorded for launch in Spring 2023.

You should buy tickets for the occasion right here.

30-year-old VC Artist Richard Lin is constructing a world repute as one of many new era’s most promising and gifted younger live performance soloists.

A graduate of The Juilliard Faculty and the Curtis Institute of Music, the place he studied with Lewis Kaplan and Aaron Rosand, Richard is a former main prize winner on the Wieniawski, Shanghai, Michael Hill, Singapore, Hannover, and Sendai Worldwide Violin Competitions.

In 2021, he joined the school of the Nationwide Taipei College of Training, in Taipei, Taiwan.
