VC Artist Yury Revich to Host Live performance Devoted to Ukraine

Austrian violinist Yury Revich and Ukrainian pianist Vladimir Borodin will carry out a program of Ukrainian and European composers, coupled with Revich’s new piece “Melodia Ukraina,” which he devoted to the hope for peace in Ukraine.

Filmed by Anna Patritsiya, the mini-concert might be live-streamed on Youtube on Thursday, March at 7 pm CET.

“I’m an Austrian citizen however I take into account myself a world artist, and I simply can’t imagine how in our time, acts of aggression like this may happen,” Revich instructed The Violin Channel. 

“I condemn this assault by the Russian authorities, I condemn this struggle and this madness, and my ideas are with the households of the victims. Any artwork kind, together with music, all the time has been and needs to be used as a platform to talk out. We artists have this chance to combat for what we imagine is correct. For Peace.”

For audiences watching, Revich is encouraging those that can donate to Austria’s UNICEF undertaking to assist Ukrainian youngsters.

 

A graduate of the Central Music College of the Moscow Conservatory and the Vienna Conservatory the place he studied with Alexander Revich, Galina Turchaninova, Viktor Pikaizen and Pavel Vernikov, Yury is a former winner of the ECHO Klassik “Newcomer of the Yr” award, the Worldwide Classical Music Awards’ “Younger Artist of the Yr” accolade and the Beethoven Middle Vienna’s “Younger Musician of the Yr” prize.
