VC LIVE | Michigan State College Dorothy DeLay Masterclass Sequence: Pianist Rohan De Silva


 

We’re coming to you this afternoon from Michigan State College Faculty of Music for the continuation of the Dorothy DeLay MasterClass Sequence.

Created by violinist Dmitri Berlinsky, the sequence honors one of many world’s most revered violin lecturers — bringing former college students and collaborators collectively to share Ms. DeLay’s strategies, repertoire and reflections on life as an artist.

At the moment’s stream includes a chamber music masterclass hosted by DeLay studio collaborative pianist Rohan De Silva. Upcoming episodes of the sequence function violinist Vadim Gluzman, Vadim Repin, and extra!

Dorothy DeLay (1917-2002) is remembered as one of the revered violin pedagogues of the twentieth Century. Her college students included Itzhak Perlman, Sarah Chang, Midori, Gil Shaham, Nigel Kennedy, Shlomo Mintz, Cho-Liang Lin, Akiko Suwanai, Philippe Quint, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, and extra.
